Psychiatrist needed in Milwaukie, OR – Job 1759

We are currently working with Providence Milwaukee Hospital in Milwaukie, OR and they are seeking in/outpatient psychiatrist coverage starting August 2. Senior Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic(60+)

• Seeking ongoing coverage starting August 2

• Join 4 physicians and 3 APC’s (no supervision)

• 8-5, M-F

• Sat-Sun call as scheduled (1:6-8)

• 80% Inpatient (½ day outpatient on Wednesdays)

• May need to consult in med/surg floor and/or ED

• 8-10 inpatient volume, 1 admission

• 19-bed unit, with 1 seclusion room

• 3 RN’s on at all times

• Charge RN part of group

• Nursing supervisor present during the week

• 3-4 LCSW’s present on weekdays

• 2 therapy staff on weekdays

• Ratio of pt to CNA’s 1:3

• Prov-AIR (admission, intake, referral) handles admissions

• Would highly value ECT ability and ability/strong interest in TMS and/or Ketamine therapy for future neurostimulation endeavors.

• Inpatient unit is locked, with security badge operated doors and “double-door sally port” at main entrance. Security is available 24/7 for patient care acuity using “Code Grey” procedure.

• 4 patients per half day in clinic

• 30-45 min med checks, 70-90 min new evals

• Patient care includes med management, individual therapy, and group treatment.

• Goal is to help patients stabilize and return to their primary care for ongoing prescribing.

• Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) model of care.
